Where is Redang Island?

Malaysia is situated right in the heart of South East Asia and is divided into two regions, known as East Malaysia and West Malaysia. West Malaysia, also known as Peninsular Malaysia, consists of the southern portion of the Malay Peninsula and the nearby islands. Many islands dot the coast of Peninsula Malaysia, both on the West and East coastal areas.

Redang Island, or Pulau Redang as it is known among the locals is an island off the East coast of Malaysia. The Redang archipelago is situated some 45km offshore from the state of Terengganu.

Ferries ply the Kuala Terengganu jetty to Redang Island route at fixed intervals. The journey by ferry will take approximately 45 minutes.

Pulau Redang is surely a scuba diver's paradise as the sea bed abounds with schools of marine fish, turtles and coral reefs. Underwater photographers and videographers will be blessed with many differing dive spots of various terrain.

Shipwrecks and submerged chambers await the adventurous diver.
